“.. although E is only 2.5 years old, we are delighted that he is able to spell his name, recite the alphabet, count past 13 and know numerous rhymes and sounds… he looks forward to attending the daycare in the mornings and some days it’s a fight just to get him to come home!” Lynn A.
Philosophy / Mission Statement:
WE TEACH YOUR PRESCHOOLER TO READ - TO HAVE FUN WITH SCIENCE AND MATHS .... You really need to come and see what you are missing!! Through daily activities, each child will learn of his/her self worth while also learning the importance of others and respect for other children and adults. We believe that children learn through play and by the example set for them by their caregivers and parents. We believe in the process of experiences, rather than the finished product. We encourage children to experiment in a safe and nurturing environment. We believe in language development through stories, books, discussions and creative play, both indoors and outdoors. We will provide a balance of child-initiated and teacher-directed activities, a balance of quiet and active activities - a nurturing and special environment in which your child will flourish.
Program Highlights:
Our policy is to design a basic programme that will promote the emotional, social, intellectual and physical development of each child. The goals have been based on the philosophy that each child is a unique individual with a variety of interests, needs and abilities. The programme will vary with the seasons and with the children as they mature and grow. We will teach children to count, do basic Math, the alphabet and to spell their name. When they are ready, and age appropriate, we will teach them to read. Any child who can read before he/she starts Kindergarten has a distinct advantage over his/her peers. We have proved this over the past 6 years with great success. The children will also become computer literate. The centre will be run on the lines of a Junior Kindergarten, where there will be weekly themes and crafts. The children will be divided into 'pods' of 8-9 children for certain activities, each with a dedicated teacher who will concentrate on guiding, teaching, encouraging and motivating each child to achieve his/her best. Our staff are gifted and are willing to work with any child with behavioral or other difficulties. Healthy, sugar free meals and snacks are provided by the parents.
