At Deer Lake Preschool we aim to provide an environment that invites active engagement and exploration for all children.
We believe that teachers must take into account each child’s interests, needs and strengths in order to successfully co-construct (build together) curriculum.

We recognize that each child is unique and will approach their learning in a variety of ways. We strive to accommodate each type of learner through the activities, equipment and materials offered.

The staff at Deer Lake Preschool recognize social and emotional development as the key to every child’s success. Through
positive teaching of these important life skills we believe that children can reach their full potential. By building strong, nurturing and caring relationships, children will be primed for pro-social behaviour.

Program Outline:
- Our program and curriculum are designed to provide experiences to enhance your child's physical, intellectual, social and emotional development. Children learn through play and need to develop at their own pace. They discover wayss to cope with tasks, master skills, gain confidence in their decisions and most of all, have fun!
- Your child will have opportunities to participate in a variety of activities such as: arts & crafts, audio listening centre, block play, computer centre, dramatic play, music & movement, playdough, sand and water play, science & social studies, table toys & puzzles.
- The children have time to explore these activities in the Preschool's Learning Centres as well as time to participate in a group circle time, library time and snack time within our daily program. Field trips and/or special events are also planned for each month.

Fee changes for classes starting September/11 are as follows:

1 Set day/week = $65/month (PM only)

2 Set days/week = $130/month (AM or PM)

2 Flex days/week = $160/month (PM only)

3 Set days/week = $175/month (AM or PM)

3 Flex days/week = $215/month (PM only)

4 days/week = $240/month (PM only)

5 days/week = $300/month (AM only)

** Deer Lake Preschool follows the Public School holiday schedule and we are closed statutory holidays - Christmas break, Spring break, etc.
