Philosophy/ Mission Statement:
The Red Deer Child Care was established as a non-profit agency to provide child care to families in the City of Red Deer and surrounding areas.  Our mission statement is to meet the children’s development needs through stimulating, quality programs.
Our aim is to provide children with a special kind of learning experience developing the child’s potential physically, socially, emotionally, intellectually, and creatively.  We believe that the best way for children to have these learning experiences is through varied play opportunities, which we offer through choices in group and individualized play. (See appendixes 1, 5 and 13 for examples)
Staff at the Red Deer Child Care Society work to provide a developmentally appropriate program to meet the unique needs all children enrolled in our programs.  Children are provided with opportunities to explore their environment and enhance their self-esteem.  At our programs we believe in building on the positive behaviors of all the children.  All activities provided are carefully planned to include all areas of development so that each child may grow to the best of their ability.
To provide a stimulating, play based learning environment for children to learn and grow.  Parent involvement is important and expected.
