Welcome to Kids First Montessori Preschool and Kindergarten! Our Montessori classroom is a carefully planned environment which enhances a child's intelligent development. Our philosophy is to assist children in their building of good self-image by providing a stimulating atmosphere for social, intellectual, emotional and physical growth and development. Our learning program motivates a child's natural desire to learn and we encourage each child to respect each other, to share and cooperate with each other in work and in the classroom.
Program Highlights:
* Practical Life - care of oneself, care of the
environment, grace and courtesy and coordination of physical movements
* Sensorial - development of the fine motor skills, visual
development enables the child to order classify and describe sensory impressions
in relations to length, width, temperature, mass color, pitch, etc.
* Mathematics - preliminary and advanced math skills
including counting, logical and sequential thinking, four operations, addition,
multiplication, subtraction, division, teens, tens, decimal system and memorization
of basic facts
* Language Arts - phonetic sounds and gradually advances to
whole language activities and oral language development, formal learning of
pre-writing, reading and penmanship and the study of grammar
* Cultural Studies - history, geography, land form, water,
air globe map, continents, oceans environment, physical characteristics,
shelters and need card for animals, trees, plants and flowers
