Philosophy / Mission Statement:
Partnering with parents to provide quality and wholesome childcare within a family setting. Including a focus on values, environmental and health concerns.
Program Highlights:
I am an Early Childhood Educator running an in home childcare centre. We incorporate Christian programming as well as aspects of the Virtues Project. We focus on environmental awareness including composting, gardening, healthy cleaning products and the acceptance of cloth diapers.
Children benefit from a multi age grouping setting as well as a child emergent type curriculum which allows the program to grow in the direction of the child's interests.
Center Features:
The children participate in regular outings to such places as the library, the early years centre, local parks and other theme related outings. There is a local park near by that we make use of regularly. School age children can be bussed from St. Basils, Hilcrest or Dufferin schools. I provide monthly newsletters and themed curriculum along with regular baking and activities.
