Description/ Program Highlights: The program for the children of
Love-to-Learn Daycare focuses on meeting the individual needs of each child.
- Experiences are provided to develop and appreciate music,
physical activity, drama, art, poetry and literature
- Books are very important
- Each age group assists in the preparation of a snack once a
week. The lessons in sharing, listening, following instructions and working with
others are practiced in a fun way
- Dramatic play, dress-up and role playing are initiated to
promote expression, social interactions and creativity
- In the Spring, Summer and Fall toddlers go for daily rides
in the trolley while the pre-schoolers go for nature hikes
- In the Spring children participate in the planting of
flowers and vegetables. The children witness the beauty of nature's growth from
seed to harvest
- Computer with children's programs
- Van for field trips. Cell phones to maintain communication
on outings
- Opportunities for solitary play
- Newsletters to parents outlining changes and events
- Daily reports given to each parent about his/her child's
day
-Weekly schedules posted in each age group's classroom
-Journals with photos are kept of each child while at the
daycare along with a record of child's development, new words, experiences and
