Philosophy / Mission Statement:

Mission Statement
Our mission at Niakwa Preschool Co-op is to provide quality education in a secure and nurturing environment for preschool aged children.

To encourage growth in all areas of development - intellectual, social, emotional and physical, through age appropriate learning experiences.

To include parents in all aspects of the preschool community.  We view parents as primary partners in their child’s education and development, as well as in our co-operative approach to the preschool’s operation.

To provide children with the building blocks to reach their full potential for everyday success.

Philosophy
Our philosophy is centered on the belief that young children learn best in a gentle caring environment, which is tailored to their developmental, social and emotional needs.

Against a background of respect and concern for each child, activities are implemented which allow the children to explore and flourish in an emotionally secure and accepting atmosphere.

A morning/afternoon of fun learning and co-operation incorporates a wide range of activities; the purpose of which is to encourage Kindergarten readiness in the young child.  Time for learning, play, music, gym, outdoor activities and field trips are all ways in which this is achieved.
