Philosophy / Mission Statement:
Our philosophy at Nursery Rhymes is to enhance each child’s physical, social,
emotional, creative and intellectual development. We believe that all children
have the right to quality daycare and we value and respect children of all
races, colour, religions, and cultures. Children with Special needs will be
considered depending on the capability of the facility to cater his/her special
requirements. We attain high quality childcare through providing children and
families with a flexible, loving, and stimulating atmosphere where independence
is encouraged and self-esteem is built. Children learn through play and a
stimulating safe environment. Nursery Rhymes provide enriching play experiences
and activities from which the children can learn and grow. At Nursery Rhymes we
believe strongly in parent/staff relationships and working together as a team,
as staff and parents share a common interest-the growth, happiness, and well
being of our children.
Program Highlights:
Daily routine
7:00am-8:15am FREE PLAY
8:15am-8:30am MORNING DIAPERS- Diapers will be done at 4 set times a day and
also when/if needed.
8:30am-8:45am SNACK TIME- all snacks will be provided by the daycare, or parents
can provide their own if Preferred.
8:45am-9:15am CIRCLE TIME - sing/learn songs, read stories/felt stories.
9:15am-9:45am ART TIME
9:45am-10:00am GETTING CHILDREN READY FOR OUTSIDE PLAY.
10:00am-10:30am OUTDOOR PLAY
10:30am-10:45am DIAPERS
10:45am-11:30am LUNCH TIME- lunch will be provided by the parent for their
child-due to many different food allergies (Nursery Rhymes is a NUT FREE ZONE)
11:30am-12:00 GETTING CHILDREN PREPARED FOR NAP (BOTTLES...CUDDLES...etc)
12:00-2:15pm NAP TIME 2:15pm-2:45pm DIAPERS/AFTERNOON SNACK 2:45pm-3:30pm
LEARNING FUN- puzzles and other learning activities (depending on age/stage of
development) 3:30pm-4:30pm OUTDOOR PLAY
4:30pm- 4:45pm DIAPERS
4:45pm-6:00pm FREE PLAY.
6:00pm CLOSED (All times are estimates only and may vary according to your
needs)
