Philosophy / Mission Statement: We believe play is the essence of our program. Through play, children learn to take appropriate risks and accept challenges while interacting with the environment in a safe manner. We encourage and support children's natural curiosity. We believe in the importance of understanding, accepting and empowering all children. We encourage the development of a healthy self-awareness and value inclusiveness, multiculturalism and respect for others. We believe in the partnership between families and care givers. Program Highlights: Our program provides an opportunity for art, crafts and science projects, indoor and outdoor games and activities, homework and snack time each day. Children are free to choose any of these activities or projects as well as independent games or play with their peers however, we do encourage participation although it is not mandatory. We believe in a child oriented centre that offers a variety of choices and experiences for each child. Field trips or short outings are an important learning tool for growth and development and are incorporated into program planning.
