Philosophy / Mission Statement:
We believe the pre-school years are of great significance in a child's growth
and development. In this daycare we provide an environment that is safe, warm,
nurturing, stimulating, where children learn and develop through play and
exploration. The physical environment as well as an age-appropriate program plan
is designed to meet the needs of children in all areas of development- Social,
Physical, Intellectual, Cognitive and Emotional. Individualized planning and
supportive interaction between staff and children help children feel safe and
encourage feelings of self worth.
Program Highlights:
Families are an integral part of our program and are welcome to come in at any
time and feel comfortable discussing issues regarding their children's progress
or any aspect of our policies and program delivery. We also provide opportunities
for staff, parents and children to get together and interact (example: Stampede
Breakfast, Christmas Concert). Ours is an inclusive program that caters to needs
of families from diverse backgrounds and cultures. We acknowledge and respect
the values and beliefs and the multicultural heritage of our society and strive
to enrich our program by including diversity. Art and Craft, Circle time,
Music and Movement and Outdoor play are also an integral part of daily
programming.
Center Features: The home room is organized into specific play
centers. Example: Housekeeping, Blocks and Accessories, Work bench, Computer,
Library, Art, Music, Science center, Puzzles and Manipulative toys, Sand play,
Water play, Dramatic play. Large outdoor play area, separate home rooms for
different age groups. Each room features attached washrooms.
