Philosophy / Mission Statement:
I believe children learn through play by exploring, creating, discussing,
pretending and copying. They learn by using their senses, by seeing, feeling,
tasting, touching and also hearing the results of their actions e.g.. If you
throw those rocks you might hurt a friend. Children learn hand-eye co-ordination
as well as small muscle development by doing puzzles, beads, blocks, etc. They
learn experimentation, sensory experience and tension outlet by play-doh, clay,
finger paint. Children learn social experiences and problem solving by dress-up
and creative imaginative play. They learn language development by reading,
writing, storytelling and "using their words". They learn self care
and gain confidence by learning how to organize and by cleaning up time. Most of
all children learn that they are individuals and can grow up to be just like
you. Everything we do is a new learning experience for your child. We learn how
to speak to one another in a caring, respectful manner, helping create
friendships and social behavioral skills that are important for their future.
My main goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, learning environment that will
stimulate your child emotionally, physically and intellectually.
