Philosophy/ Mission Statement:
The purpose of Southpoint Daycare is to promote opportunities for positive
individual growth among children between the ages of 2 1/2 and School Age.
Children learn and develop through many different ways. At Southpoint Daycare, I
offer a variety of age appropriate activities that will will meet the individual
needs of each child. These activities encourage children to grow cognitivly,
physically, emotionally, socially and creatively. I believe it is important to
build each childs self-esteem and confidence. Each child is treated as an
individual, and it is my goal to ensure that your child and his/her family have
a positive experience at my centre.

Description/ Program Highlights:
The children are grouped together for most activities, but they have plenty of opportunities for individual play with age appropriate toys and equipment. The educational program is designed to challenge the children to develop their skills and abilities. The program maintains a flexible balance of activity and rest, self-directed and adult-directed activities, indoor and outdoor activities. Teaching themes: I concentrate on all aspects of life through our teaching themes. Children are eager to learn, I find that teaching children about their work through themes is a fun and exciting method of enhancing their thrill of discovery.
