Burnaby

Philosophy:
Village Day Care Society is a child-oriented center where
all children will learn through play in a safe and nurturing environment. We are
aware that all children have individual needs and will recognize these needs
during their span in our center, whether it's social, emotional, physical or
intellectual support they require.
Therefore our goals at Village Day Care are to allow children
to acquire or strengthen their self-confidence in themselves and in their abilities.
To meet our goals and individual children goals, staff will support and work
alongside families and child-oriented services. Teachers will continue to be
conscious of community needs and if required change and educate themselves with
the children's best interest in mind.
We will offer fun, stimulating and creative learning
experiences in which all children will have the opportunity to play individually
or in a group setting. This gives the children time to acquire these personal
goals at their own speed or level of development.
By promoting confidence, respect and mutual trust, we will be
able to reach our final goal of enhancing the children's self-worth, enabling
them to reach the highest standard of achievement in all developmental stages in
their future endeavors.
Vision:
We at Village Day Care Society wish to develop a high
quality standard in helping children and their families in their continual
growth and development. Our hope is to have children depart from our center with
a strong sense of self and a positive outlook which will help them in their
future endeavors.
Mission Statement:
We at Village Day Care Society will provide a play based,
child care program which will incorporate a safe, healthy, cooperative
environment to children three to five years of age and their diverse cultural
working families.
