Philosophy / Mission Statement:
It can be a big transition for children and their families when starting a new
childcare program. We strive to provide a homelike environment where
children and their families feel welcome and comfortable. Knowing that
each child coming into the centre is an individual with their own interests,
allows us to create an ever changing and fun program, which reflects the whole
group of children. By doing this, children are excited to engage into
activities and through their play are expanding their learning experiences.
While we have flexibility in our program planning, we believe it is important
that children have consistency during routine times. This way they learn
what to expect next, and feel at ease throughout the day. Staff encourages
ongoing communication with parents to provide consistency from home to daycare.
While planned activities are a great way for children to interact and learn with
one another, we also value the importance of free play, and allowing the
children’s imagination to come to life. Through everything, cuddles are
always welcome.
Program Highlights:
We are very flexible in our daily planning of activities to all ow for
children's interests to play a big role, but we are very consistant with routine
times such as eating, toileting/diapering, and sleeping so that the children can
feel comfort in knowing what to expect next.
Center Features: Home based daycare that is fully independant of the
rest of the home with a separate entrance etc. Snack/meal area, nap/quiet
room, onsite outdoor play area, indoor play area.
